ONLINECARSTEREO JAM OF THE WEEK

Music has been the central deciding factor on what audio / video equipment to purchase. Onlinecarstereo has over 2500 products to offer and it could be overwhelming  to choose from. Today, we would like to introduce the Jam of Week through Spotify. We will send out selected weekly songs for you to listen on your car and describe what car setup you used to play the song and tell us what you think. You can also record a video inside your car to let our viewers watch and hear you setup

Our first Jam of the Week is the song “The Box” by Roddy Ricch. This single was release 2 weeks ago under his debut solo album Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial. It covers a lot of sound frequencies but geared more towards the Hip hop side with a lot of low bass.

We tested this song on one of our associates 2019 Scion FRS equipped with two (2) JL Audio 10W3v3-4 hooked on a JL HD750/1 mono subwoofer amplifier. At 50% volume with flat settings, the bass is still clear and produces nice tones. This is probably due to the 750 watts RMS of the HD series amp. The balance in power handling was nearly perfect on the 10W3v3-4 without saturating the mid frequencies of the song.

For the mids, the vehicle had a pair of Hertz CPX165 on the front door speakers and Hertz CPX690 on the rear. With the bass pounding in the background, medium frequencies are still crisp and clear. The high dynamic ranges of sound produce by both speakers are engaging without being too piercing on the ears. This is due to the robust basket construction with an outstanding cooling system technology for better acoustics.
