The XR-W10F from Kenwood is an 11" subwoofer that can be installed in a standard 10" woofer cutout. The oversized carbon glass-fiber cone is held in place by a heavy-duty rubber surround, and this combination allows for better control of cone excursion under high power operation. A new dual ventilation system provides exceptional heat dissipation and allows for extremely shallow applications even if the vented pole piece is partially obstructed by the enclosure. Unlike most competitive woofer designs, the dual ventilation system works together with the aero-shaped basket to allow air to move freely away from the back of the cone assembly, further reducing the distorting effect of trapped air and resulting in a very linear bass response. The XR-W10F is equipped with push-style terminals that can accept 8 AWG-sized premium speaker cable. Power handling capability of the XR-W10F is 350W RMS (at 4 ohms), 1,200W peak.
