First thing that you might notice with the DSX-S100 from Sony is that there is no CD slot, that's because it is a Digital Media Receiver which only playsback music media from an iPod or other compatible USB MP3 devices. The DSX-S100 will be able to play MP3, WMA, and AAC media file formats, and a remote control.
Another very unique feature about the DSX-S100 is its Tune Tray compartment. The MP3 device connects to the Tune Tray and is able to go inside the unit safely and completely out of sight. It also has features such as a fold-down detachable face, satellite and HD radio ready, has expandability options with front panel AUX inputs, internal USB port, and 4-Chanel, 2-Volt preamp outputs (front, rear/subwoofer)
