Sony Press Release:

The CDX-GT430IP CD receiver comes with an interface that allows for control of most iPod players. The included 1.5-meter cable has a 30-pin connector provides full menu control and allows the head unit to charge compatible iPod devices. The unit’s selectable front and rear/sub preamp outputs can be used to control the frequency and output level of an external amplifier. Other features include Quick-BrowZer, Passenger Control and Jump Mode technologies, satellite radio and HD Radio ready compatibility, and MP3 and non-DRM WMA playback, with black LED screen and blue key illumination.

The CDX-GT330 unit provides versatility, through compatibility with most iPod players, and HD Radio and satellite radio ready functionality. It offers MP3 and non-DRM WMA playback support and two preouts. The CDX-GT130 CD receiver has one preout and a detachable faceplate with a black 13-segment LED screen.

Each new unit supports HPF/LPF sound quality enhancements and features an auxiliary input on the faceplate, facilitating the use of compatible iPod and other portable music players in a vehicle with a standard 1/8-inch mini jack cord (sold separately). They also feature 52 watts X 4 peak output.

The CDX-GT430IP and CDX-GT330 head units come with the supplied wireless card remote (model RM-X151), so it’s easy to control the music from the front or back seat. Users can increase the CDX-GT330 unit’s connectivity by purchasing an adapter (model XA-120IP for about $50) that charges a compatible iPod device and controls it from the head unit.

Pioneer Premeir DEH-P980BT

A recent customer was having some trouble with his current head unit and decided to call us for advice. He was directed Ishon who is on our sales team and they had a lengthy conversation about his issue. It was decided that he should go with the Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT because it is simply a very high quality unit and it had all the features he was looking for.Check out what our customer had to say about the unit and the service he received.

Hello Ishon!

Thank you very much for locating the Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT.  It's
exactly what I was looking for.

I installed it last weekend, and it's working great.  It is considerably
better than my old DEH-P920R.

The color Organic-EL display is awesome.  The time-alignment feature has
cured the problem I've had with the sub bass sound arriving late (you'd
think it wouldn't be that noticeable considering the small distances,
but it is!).

One of the things I really like about this head unit is that out of 62
possible volume levels, the top 2 clip - which isn't too bad.  I tested
it by using my laptop to generate a 1khz test tone with maximum
amplitude, and then measured the output with my oscilloscope.  I raised
the volume on the laptop until just before the sine wave began
clipping.  I fed that into the head unit using the IP-Bus cable I have,
and raised the head unit's volume until just before the pre-outs began
clipping the sine wave on my scope.

I carried this process of testing through to the output of my
amplifiers, and I get distortion-free sound all the way up to volume 60,
and I avoid volume 61-62.

The sound with this head unit is clean, with none of the exaggeration I
used to experience.  I haven't had a chance to run a frequency sweep on
it yet (because I'm enjoying the sound of my music too much), but I
anticipate no holes (missing frequencies).

I haven't managed to get the Bluetooth audio to work yet - it appears
Linux doesn't know what to do with the device, even though it is listed
correctly as a headphone type device (for playback).  I imagine it's a
bug in the bluetooth stack in Linux.  At least I still have IP-Bus
(aux-2) and aux-1 inputs :)

I don't recall seeing the option to ship via UPS express or expedited
when I ordered this unit - for your Canadian customers, this is probably
a better option, since these services include the cost of brokerage in
the price; possibly making it a better deal, or at the very least, a
similar cost with faster transit times.  I paid $111.00 to UPS for taxes
and brokerage charges - I totally expected this amount, but it's always
nice to save money when possible.  FYI :)

The shipping box did arrived a bit crushed, but the inner box arrived
unscathed.

Thank you very much!  I definitely recommend your company.

Another New Addition to Our Already Huge Product Lineup.

Panasonic CQ-C500U (2008 Model) 1 DIN Car Stereo

Enjoy multi-format palyback, CD changer control, variable 7 colors display, front aux input, removable full front panel, iPod, and satellite radio expandability.

In addition, this car audio unit features a built in 3-band EQ, a MOS-FET high-power 50W amp and Re-Master. In order to achieve a high compression ratio, some of the less audible high-frequency tone data gets filtered out during the creation of AAC1, WMA, MP3 and other compressed file formats. To compensate, the Re-Master function interpolates the treble data for richer audio reproduction during playback.
